Of all the departments at Co-operative National College, the Malayalam Department is one of the oldest and the most reputed one. The college along with its faculty believe that this is one subject that must be given utmost importance and care while developing the curriculum, not just because it is the birth language of the majority of us here at Kerala, but also because we understand that this is one language that needs more indepth research and preservation. The students and faculty have for years created an atmosphere of great love and passion for the language that is truly contagious and inspiring. With a little aid from our expansive library, students can choose any Malayalam literature, be it traditional, contemporary or modern, and further their language and research skills. The faculty at the Malayalam Department have done exemplary work in not just taking the reputation of the department to new heights, but also to re-inculcate the value of learning this beautiful language.
