This reputed institute was started in 1990 by the esteemed educationist A.K Raghavan Nambiar in 1990. In 2008, it was renamed as the Co-operative National College in 2008.
The College provides a liberal, lively and competitive environment enabling students to carve out a niche for themselves in their chosen field. Besides the infrastructural facilities, the strength of the College lies in its congenial and enriching atmosphere.
We don’t just give students an education and experiences that set them up for success in a career. We help them succeed in their career—to discover a field they’re passionate about and dare to lead it.

The Co-operative National College commenced its 1 year Journalism Diploma course during the academic year 2020 – 2021 as the outreach program of the Trivandrum Press Club. For those students who are interested in joining, they will have to clear the same entrance exam, admission process and curriculum that is followed at Trivandrum Press Club. For those who have their eyes set on a career in the media world, a diploma certificate in journalism and mass communication is a definite asset, especially considering the competitive nature of this industry. Today the world needs media professionals with innovative abilities, creative thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset.
